Festa del Centro Storico – Live in Barga 2012 – Day 11

12 months ago this week,  we published an article (here)  with the following text:  “The Piazzette, the festa del centro storico 2011 moved into the  eleventh and final day . Thirty five concerts over a period of the next ten days, featuring live musicians or all types, hues, colours and persuasions. The festa has this year made a huge jump in quality and quantity and thinking about it, is just one step away from becoming a full blown music festival in its own right. Maybe next year, a large concert with some big names on the Fosso and the transformation will be complete”

So a year later and here we are once again, writing about the final day 11 of the Festa del Centro Storico – Live in Barga 2012 and yes,  it looks as though that prediction of a full-blown music festival in its own right is just about ready to become fact.  This year, 40 concerts.  The quality of music -  extremely high.  The public flocking into Barga proving unequivocally that there is a need for this kind of event.

The festa finished in fine style  with the four piazzas featuring music for all ages and ears.

Now is the time maybe for the new Pro Loco to take stock,  look at which events went well and see if it’s possible to change those that did not work quite as expected.

A big well done to all those behind the scenes who made the Festa del Centro Storico – Live in Barga 2012  the success that it was.

Now on to bigger and better things things.
